The Heart Behind the Name

I’ve always loved giving—whether it’s something big or small, a thoughtful blend or a quiet moment of care. It’s just in me. And that’s where Love, MJ really began: in those tiny offerings of comfort to my loved ones. Like a love letter—soft, simple, and heartfelt.

The name Love, MJ is exactly that. A letter of love.

To my friends.

To my family.

To anyone moving through life with a tired body or a heavy heart.

At the end of a letter, we write “Love,” followed by our name.

And MJ is mine—short for Myoung Jee.

For a long time, I didn’t use my Korean name. Living in Australia, I made it easier for others to say, to remember, to hire. I chose comfort for them over the truth of me.

And I’ve always carried that choice in my heart. Quiet regret, tucked away.

So Love, MJ is more than a business.

It’s part of my healing.

A return to who I am.

It’s personal, interracial, intercultural, and deeply intergenerational.

Every product, every post, every package—it’s all part of that journey.

A reclaiming of my name.

A letter from me to you.

Love, MJ

—Myoung Jee
